The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a excellent choice if you're on a budget and don't need an extra stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

The hood, for instance snaps onto the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps prevent the stains that result from smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents looking for a versatile stroller. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then choose which one is the best single pushchair fit for their journey. The wagon can hold two or more children from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket for everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that move from front to back, ensuring ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as large or deep as other wagons, so it may not be suitable for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy, although it does not have the same flexibility as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight once folded. It is easy to move, however, and fits through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put in a trunk of a car. It also has a multi-position reclined seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than many of the other strollers that we test, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together with an average manual, and none of the components required tools. It's lacking certain features we consider essential in double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is billed as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted with just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

It is really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the massive shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child out and in quickly. Although it is narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction and can also swivel. This is useful in rough terrain. While walking through the stony trail, we let them move and it did this quite well, though it did appear slightly bumpier than other models that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is best known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, jogging strollers. However, they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is simple to use and folds down small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we test, however the wheels are made of rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children with shopping bags and other things.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that are able to be lower to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods which get turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space but it has a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller with you on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It's a stroller made of aluminum which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It's got a few notable features, including the ability to flip the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and foam-filled which minimises punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of rough terrain. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system comes available with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors that are included. The brakes are simple to use with single buggy for sale action color coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single buggy pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and features an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also very light and robust. The seat is reclined in various positions. It also comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors, which can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best because it's not as quiet as Velcro, and can cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be configured to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be facing each other or turn around and face their parents, potentially reducing sibling rivalries over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a big gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automated frame lock as well as a compact fold.
