World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to boost the gear score of an item upgrader mod to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance the perfect rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and damage to PvP. They also have a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. Additionally, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. In the case of items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may render them unusable unless you get a lucky roll.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to increase their effectiveness. This can increase the base defense of a helm or chest, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain after upgrading, as well as the values of these stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item upgrader mod menu, using the arrows that circle. This will roll an item level upgrade upgrader mod (wifidb.science officially announced) and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor can make an enormous difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to navigate difficult areas. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you will get from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in frigid conditions with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your comrades.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you will still be wearing at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, provide a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item level upgrade's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potions that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change the name of the potion.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance have now a duration of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item. The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron drains the contents and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The table of potions is arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping and the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be described as a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It may be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not particularly important such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with gold, tokens, or fragments from rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. A player can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the old trinket, but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are no longer needed, allowing a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear, and then other equipment that they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players should take into account the class's preferred stats. For instance If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and helm.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it can be saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
